Morogoro "Beach"

I went with the boy to this little stream in the mountains that some people call Morogoro Beach. It's definitely not a beach, but its a really awesome river carved into the rocks that we climbed up. It reminded me a lot of a dam we used to go see up north when my family went up to our cottage in Bancroft. It was about an hour walk to get there (uphill walk by the way... another reasons for the doctors reading this to be happy...) then we climbed for about 20 minutes up the river to get to a spot with a big pond to swim in. It was absolutely beauuutiful. Before we got to the top we seen some baboons in the trees and  drinking from the river, which was pretty neat. The walk up was rediculously slippery but apparently I was the only one who thought so because the boys all jumped around like it was nothing. I managed not to fall. The only thing I had on them was my Canada powers kicked in and the water wasn't that chilly but they were all freezing :P

We all swam when we got there under a big tree full of vines and birds. The water was pretty chilly but it was really refreshing after the long hike up. From where we were we could see out over Morogoro and on the way back we watched the sun setting over the city. You could see all the smoke from everyone starting to cook dinner and we listened to music the whole time and had a lot of fun. This was probably one of my favourite days on my trip :)

Baboons!! :) They were drinking from the water then they heard all of us yelling and ran off. Some of them were pretty huge. This guy stopped and posed for us :P

Ashi and Baisa getting ready to cross part of the river.

Scaling the rocks

Robert by the water

Me and Michael.. he helped me not fall while the other guys took off :P

climbing through the water.. he was regretting that he wore long pants at this point

Getting ready to jump in.. Ashi was really eyeing those vines and swung off them into the water.

Me and Michael swimming.. they were all fascinated that I could swim backwards because most people here can't really swim - not exactly a beach or pools everywhere.

Showing off their swag as usual

Me and the boys :)

Contemplating tripping Robert down the mountain lmao... Ashi slid down like it was a slide.

Our little swimming hole :)!!

Climbing back down to go home

Not really sure what was happening.... :P

Ashi stuck in the middle on a rock haha :P
The sunset on the way home... gonna miss this :(
